Sightseeing

There is a lot to see in Innsbruck…

The golden Roof, Innsbruck’s landmark in the middle of the old city centre, or the imperial court palace, church and gardens… Whoever prefers to visit more comfortably can take the “Sightseer”, instead of walking. This hop-on Hop-off bus takes you to all the sights in Innsbruck, like the Ambras castle, the Berg Isel Ski jump with the Tyrolean Panorama or the Alpine Zoo.
The Old Town of Innsbruck

Innsbruck’s city centre with it’s famous landmark – the golden roof – which houses the Maximilianeum, but there is also St. Jakob cathedral or the baroque Helblinghaus. Enjoy the view over Innsbruck’s rooftops from the City Tower and walk down Maria Theresien Street towards the Triumphpforte.

Ambras Castle

Visit the renaissance castle Amras with its large and beautiful gardens. Inside the castle is a museum, its highlights can be found in the large knights hall, as well as the Art- and ‘Miracle’ Chamber. Interesting for lovers of baroque music are the castle concerts that take place in summer.

Berg Isel

A must see for museum fans is the Kaiserjägermuseum and – especially for sport fans – the ski jump with its modern architecture. Both are located at Berg Isel, which is easy to reach using public transport. Unique in its own way is also the Riesenrundgemälde there definitely worth a visit!

Hungerburg / Seegrube

Enjoy the view of whole Innsbruck from the Seegrube – truly worth experiencing! Half way to the Hungerburg is the Alpen Zoo. The Hungerburg itself is a popular hiking destination as well as a starting point for many more hikes.Tracks of various levels in difficulty lead to many alpine pastures with accompanying huts.

Imperial Castle and Church

Visit the Imperial Castle with the English garden and the Imperial Church. Also connected is the Folks Art Museum. Versatile entertainment and events for culturally interested visitors are offered in the Provincial Theater and the Congresshaus.

Trails along the River Inn

The nearby trails along the river Inn will entice you for a stroll to the park areas and playgrounds. The old neighborhood of Hoetting around our hotel is also worth seeing with its narrow streets and old buildings at the very edge of the Nordkette mountain range. Restaurants and bars for every taste are located around our hotel.
